Giving the Gift of Good Practices
This season comes but once a year and all I want for the holidays is the gift of good practices that will allow me to improve throughout the year!
Until now, the worlds of Development and Production remained independent of each other. ITIL V3 is a large effort to link the two worlds together and Cloud Computing could be the right approach to make it possible. What is cloud computing? There are different service offerings behind this concept. What is in it for me? We are trying to achieve the goals of IT Efficiency, Cost Control, Quality of Service, Time to Value through different initiatives: New Tools, New Technology, ITIL Best Practices, etc… Could they be combined in a structured way?

This presentation is based on years focused on lessons from the largest Internet companies, sharing key breakthroughs that led to not only significant increases in stability, but also increases in release throughput and reduction of time required to deploy code, with significantly less effort to detect and correct failures when they occur.

Austin Energy is combining ITSM and PMBOK frameworks to create a New World Order where SLA-worthy products and services are designed, developed, and delivered. This session focuses on the ITSM Design Processes of Capacity, Availability, Continuity, and Security and their integration with the PMO Knowledge Area of Quality. You will learn the tactical steps Austin Energy has taken to integrate these frameworks and lessons learned in the process.

During the roundtable discussion, these leading experts will debate the topic of 'Giving the Gift of Good Practices'. As with all sessions, you can ask the panel live questions via the event moderator.
